The location is great, the food was good and amply portioned. The beers are cold and the service was fast and friendly, even though the deck was nearly at capacity when we stopped by during the peak dinner hour. Our first experience here was a good one. I like this place. Bon Apetité. "life's too short for bland food, bad wine, weak coffee or cheap whiskey" Ray

Wonderful view of the sunset, live music, fresh food. We had the oysters on the half shell, they were fresh large, and the coleslaw we chose as the side consists of fresh cut cabbage, perfect seasoning and--even though I love mayo-- not too much mayo. Friendly staff and regulars. We will definitely come here again!!

There isn't much to say here. Food was just south of mediocre. The server was obviously well practiced in the art of apologizing: 1st for the kitchen taking so long to put out any food even though the joint was empty 2nd for the fact that appetizers were skimpy and lukewarm. And lastly for the quality of the entrees that obviously spent some quality time in the microwave. On a positive note the tap water was crystal clear but that was difficult to appreciate through the filthy glass. There are so many better options with in five minutes if this place there is no reason to suffer it. Try Snack Jacks on the beach - I have no affiliation with them but they are clearly what this restaurant wants to be when it grows up.

Husband & I arrived by boat for lunch! There is outdoor bar & dining area as well as indoors. John was our server; he was attentive & helpful. All the staff was very friendly. My Mixed Island salad with grilled chicken was flavorful & delicious with goat cheese, bacon, & mango & red pepper salsa. Husband had blackened Mahi sandwich with coleslaw; another good choice. Mahi was cooked perfectly. Place was not busy for lunch & it was a Monday, so we had no problems getting seated or served. The Tuscan Grill is directly behind Sweet Water, so you have another option if you are in the mood for Italian. Both places take reservations. We will definitely be back! By boat or by car... You should go too!

Food was very good. Very nice size portions. Service is lacking. Took forever to get drinks and lemons for our clams. I'll give it a second chance because they are new but if service doesn't improve I won't go back.

Horrible service, 30 minutes to get a waitress to bring a menu! Not sure if I will return, let's see....

Slow service and marginal food. Took about 45 mins for our food on a Sunday evening. Live music which was fun. If you're not in a hurry and want to hang out outside it's a good location, but for me, it's rather go elsewhere.

Seven of us stopped here after our 10k walk - all very hungry. The service was lousy. They forgot two of our side orders and delivered the corn chowder and lobster bisque orders AFTER the entree. Who ever heard of putting cheese onto a beef brisket sandwich? The cheese flavor overwhelmed the brisket and make it inedible. Tiny plastic utensils, Styrofoam soup cups, plastic drink cups, Etc. Yuck. The 10oz burgers were good according to two who ordered them. The pork sliders were large but not very good tasting. The deep fried cod was good according to those who ordered it.

Holiday weekend and all I'm ok with being busy... But 45 minutes to get a hot dog and a manager who could care less... Not for me too many good places in town

Great food, great location, great service and reasonably priced......doesn't get any better than this. Meal portions are so large you can easily split a meal. Very casual atmosphere; outdoor dining in good weather. Located on the ICW... if there is a mooring it's a great place to tie up & dine.

We came here for a late dinner one night with some family and friends that were in town. They had a little bit of everything on the menu. Two of us ordered the snapper, two of the others ordered a rack of ribs and the other ordered the snow crab. After ordering the snow crab the waiter came out to inform us that the were actually out. After she ordered another dish (with no complaint or word said about them being out if the crab) the waiter came over and let her know that her next drink was on the house. All the food was delicious (The Mac and cheese was amazing!).Everyone was extremely happy. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone.

I wanted to love this place. The view is fabulous, the ambiance relaxed and beachy. The menu is creative (would love to try the meat and potatoes salad), the portions are huge. The prices are reasonable. The owners are on site and very friendly. BUT I have never had worse service anywhere. After a long day in the sun, we were hungry and very thirsty. It took at least twenty minutes for our server to come to our table and another twenty for her to bring our drinks. We ordered our food with our drinks and it took even longer - maybe an hour. We asked about it several times. First, the server told us that on weekends, it usually takes 45 minutes to an hour and a half. If that's the case, I would say they need a larger kitchen staff or a better system to handle orders. At very least, they need to get drinks to the table along with a snack so that patrons actually can enjoy the view and live music without starving. The next time we asked, the server said that they were moving another restaurant into the building across the street and things were all messed up but our food should be coming soon. (Why not close for a few days to accomplish the move if you can't move and serve at the same time?) On the third try, she finally said she would check to see how many orders were ahead of ours and returned to say they were plating it up. Ten minutes later, our food finally arrived, but only five of the six got their dinners. Another guest had to wait ten more minutes for his. As to the food, we loved the onion rings and fries. The entrees were split half and half. The ribs were tough and the brisket dry with way too much barbecue sauce. (They offer three different sauces, but not on the table. Instead, the server names them and you have to choose one, without tasting. The kitchen puts the sauce on your order, as much as they think you should have. In the case of the brisket that was too much, but for the pork sliders too little.) The fish sandwich, on the other hand, was excellent as were the pork sliders, three full size sandwiches. The children's chicken fingers were good as well. We had to ask the server two or three times for various basics - salt and pepper, napkins, silverware, extra barbecue sauce for the sliders. We got ketchup for the fries from another table ourselves. I will try Sweet Water again, because I want it to succeed, but they are going to have to make some serious improvements to get me to become a regular.

I always have a great time here. Great food. Happy staff and management. If I ever want something different that are happy to oblige. The family that owns this also has the wonderful Tuscan Grill, which is now part of the complex. Great views! Great entertainment!
